Failing in Love with Jesus

There’s a song that I find myself humming on a regular basis and it’s called, you guessed it, failing in love with Jesus it’s the best thing I’ve ever, ever done. There is one line, especially as a single woman that I relish, “In His arms I feel protected. In His arms never disconnected.” Chew on those words for a while and see if you too don’t find yourself engulfed in a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility.

The song was written by Jonathan Butler. He shares in his testimony how one day he was simply walking and God spoke to his heart and birthed this song into existence.

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon I wrote an earlier article Can Single Women Enjoy Valentine’s Day? And over 1,500 people read the article in one day! So this is my follow up to add some spice and excitement to such a wonderful day. It is my hope that you, if alone, need something to hold on to. If you, alone, need someone to spend time with on a regular basis. If you, alone, need someone who will accept you as your are. If you, alone, need someone who loves you unconditionally. If you, alone, need someone who says, “you are the apple of His eye”. If you, alone, need someone who will proclaim to the world that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. If you, alone, desire someone who declares that they will never leave you for forsake you. Then falling in love with Jesus will be the best thing that you’ve ever done, because you get all of that and then some!!

By choosing life, which is in Jesus, ladies you receive such love, protection, provision, care, grace and mercy, they follow you everywhere you go. By choosing Jesus you choose a hope for your future, and the realization that you are never alone. He, Jesus, loves you! He, Jesus, adores you! He, Jesus, is constant. He never changes up on you. So, I, as a single woman, toast Jesus, today and each and every day. For whether or not God’s plans are for me a husband, He, Jesus, is definitely enough. He, Jesus, is more than enough. So this Valentine’s Day I celebrate my love for the greatest love of all. One who laid down His life for me and you and I rejoice at the good news that He didn’t stay in the grave, but He got up!!

So I end as I began. Falling in love with Jesus was and will always be the best thing, the best choice I’ve ever made!!
