I Can Only Imagine What The World Would Be Like If .......

I lay here at 4:30 a.m, finding myself in awe of God. I find myself at this very moment spending precious quality time with Him in prayer, meditation and every as I write this article, He is ever present in my heart and is the impetus for this article. I will have you know that I am in love with the most amazing reality, that God is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. To be diligent means to give maximum effort in our quest to truly understand and live by the principle teaching found in the incomparable, infallible, living word. It's amazing to me how over 2,000 years ago 12 men changed a world through and by their exposure of the life and death of one individual who was and is fully God and fully man.
Imagine what the impact would be in this world by those who have truly embraced the teaching of Christ, by those who endeavor to live by those very principles, and truly became the light of the world, the salt of the earth! Imagine what this world would be like if we were truly sold out for Christ and our lives exemplified that very fact! Our families would be mentally and physically healthier. Our churches would truly be a place of healing and a time of refreshing so we could go out into the world and tell a dying world what they must do to be saved. Imagine what our communities would look like. Imagine how less impacted the prison system would be. Imagine just imagine.
Last night at a women's bible study I have at my home, my heart was overwhelmed by the women as they each presented their parts of their lesson assigned to them, sharing what the Spirit had revealed to them during their quiet time. These wonderful women, and one young lady age 16, are spending genuine time in the word and they are truly getting it!! It is my prayer that we will all truly get it. That each of us would treat out bible like we do facebook, twitter, and our cell phones, and give it our utmost attention. That like the above we would learn the ins and outs of the bible. That we would learn every facet of it so that we would be able to call upon it for every situation that we encounter.
Sold out means we surrender our very lives, our very rights, our very dreams, our very goals into the hands of an all sufficient, all powerful, all knowing God. Being sold out means spending precious time in the operator’s manual, the bible, and doing as David said in psalms 119 – “thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.” It means living a life that is committed to the mission given to each of - being ministers of reconciliation, ambassadors for Christ, sanctified being’s, set a part for the work of the gospel. Sold out, literally means being a reflection of Christ, and not a reflection of the world. Sold out means not living a life that looks like on the surface you are a Christian but living a life that screams from your very actions, your very words, from all aspects of your existence that this thing called Christianity is "real" and it is not what I say I am but it reflects who I am.
If we can't establish a relationship with the one who makes it all possible, with the one who continues to be faithful, with the one who died so that we might live, then how on earth can we truly have a sound, honest, lasting relationship with each other?
If you don't get it right on this side, you will not have the chance to get it right on the other side.
