Happiness Is Up to YOU!!!

So many times in life we find ourselves looking at someone else’s life and saying, “If only”. When we actually have no idea what that person had to go through in order to obtain whatever stature they may have achieved. There are things in life we must go through in order to reach the goals, dreams, desires that we may have inside and somehow during that process of going through, we must learn to see things through God’s eyes, in order grow gracefully, in order to grow stronger, and in order to grow in a way that we may pass it on to others. So next time you desire the following, see your life through God’s eyes.

 

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, “No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.”

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, “No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.”

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, “No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; It isn't granted, it is
learned.”

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, “No. I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.”

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, “No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to
me. “                               
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, “No. You must grow on your own! But I will prune you to make you fruitful.”

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, “No. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.”   I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

God said...”Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.”

Our attitude determines our altitude. It is easy to complain all through life and desiring for a road paved with no rocks, no pit holes, no hills and valleys, but if encountered, we find we are unprepared for life and it’s inevitable challenges. If we truly learn to view life as an experience, as a journey, with lessons and opportunities for growth, it is then and only then that we can see ourselves through the eyes of God.
